What Does Livestock and Cattle Insurance Cover?
When you have livestock insurance the following covers are standard
Accidents to your livestock: Loading and unloading your livestock in transit, electrocution, fire, smoke, explosions.
Natural disasters: Volcanic eruption, natural landslip, and earthquake.
Weather events that affect your livestock: Flooding, lightning, wind and hail.
Collision while in transit (livestock transport insurance): Coverage for your livestock when in transport.
Vehicle impact: animals being hit by vehicles.
Specified animals: If you have high-value animals you want to cover you can list them and the cover can include death by illness. This is designed for Horses, Dogs and Bulls. Illness extends the cover dramatically and allows normally excluded causes of death to be covered such as M Bovis and Nitrate poisoning
Livestock Insurance FAQ
The general cover does not include Illness (If you specified an animal it would be covered) This means for unspecified animals M Bovis and Nitrate poisoning will not be covered by livestock cover.
$200,000, cover starts from $1500, factors such as location and numbers of animals as well as maximum cover per animal change the price.
In the absence of viagra for bulls, the loss of functionality cover can be included for Bulls.
